Charities

SYS/TOMS was founded with a core set of values and on the principles of serving one another and treating people right. To that end, we support a number of nonprofit organizations each year and encourage our employees to give their time and get involved in charitable organizations in their communities.

SYS/TOMS contributes to these local and national charities to improve our world.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (http://CFF.ORG)

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The charity funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.

CFF.ORG is a nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle. Their focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure.

A Better Chance - ABC Masconoment (http://abcmasconomet.org)

ABC/MASCO is a residential educational program founded in 1974, one of 25 public programs in the ABC Foundation, a national non-profit organization. The mission of this program is: “to provide academically talented minority students with an outstanding secondary school education so that they may proceed to excellence in college, and eventually go on to assume positions of leadership and responsibility in American Society”. Our graduates have accomplished these goals admirably, and our current students are flourishing.

The Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust

(http://www.ausbonsargent.org)

The mission is to preserve and protect the rural character of the Mt. Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region for public benefit through:

  • Conservation agreements that protect the farms, forest, streams and wetlands – the special undeveloped “open” spaces;

  • Stewardship of our conserved land, now and forever;

  • Partnerships with private individuals, local governments and like-minded organizations sharing expertise and efforts in protecting land;

  • Education of the people of our communities about the importance to them of protecting our environment and its ecosystems through land conservation.

HAWC  (http://www.hawcdv.org)

HAWC - Healing Abuse Working for Change, formerly known as Help for Abused Women and their Children, was founded in 1978. Since then HAWC delivered free services to victims of domestic violence. Today we continue to develop and expand our services in our unyielding effort to find more effective ways to prevent domestic violence. Our hotline is available 24 hours each day. Staff and volunteers can be accessed in hospitals, courtrooms, police departments and classrooms. No one deserves to live in fear and together we can and will stop the violence.
